Permanent Tournaments
Hi all and happy new year.
As you know , the only form of tournaments left in GW that are permanent are GvG , but those are quite hard to enter and even to play for low exped people. It's mostly 2 guilds and rest being sec accs/normal forfeiters.
That's why i would like to suggest to add some tournament events rotation every week . For example it would be :
1st week : Dragon Arena
2nd week : Codex Arena
3rd week : Snowball Arena
4th week : Hero Battles
5th week : Dragon Arena
etc....
Thus it would be 1 month = 1 season.I do believe it would be interesting to add some form of competitiveness accesible by anyone and it would be a reason to make people come again play GW. I think such a rotation would be good aswell , because people who don't like 1st week will probably enjoy 2nd one , etc... The reward system of course would need to be tuned down to avoid farmers.
Waiting your comments

Exelent idea, but I'm sure you are aware it's not going to happen...
ANet completly abandoned PvP. If current team isn't capable to nerf TWO assassin skills in order to trash BBway on HA, there is no chance to see them doing new tournaments like Dragon Arena or Codex and putting it in rotation.

If your idea was no reward, just an honorable mention in the "All chat window" like for winning Halls I would be all for this. Rewards make for bots. Playing for competition makes for less bots. I like your idea.

Exactly what Jazilla said, I would be 100% for this if there was little-no reward, as that would just encourage bots to join in. With that being said, this is an amazing suggestion.

Only if it gets its own section of observer mode. I hate the snowball AT's because I haven't been able to watch a GvG AT since they started because those stupid matches plague observer mode.
Personally I think the whole thing is stupid and people shouldn't get that many reward points especially when so many of them are botting (don't even try to deny it, anyone with a brain knows you are).
So basically it is only a good idea, if it either isn't on obs or gets its own section, and they don't give out RP's.

Not giving out rps would make the level of competition noticeably low. Giving out lots of rps ensures that people will abuse it as much as they can.
The best tournament formats are those that have some measure of respectability because they aren't minigames, and those where bots aren't going to be as dominant (Codex, HB, maybe TA if interrupt bots can be handled).

Not really sure , because HB tournaments gave at best 30-32 rps, and there were still many people , including botters/afkers to farm points...Giving an amount of point between 25 and 50 in my opinion would be good , since it wouldn't be that many and that low...
Also i think concerning snowball and dragon arena that there would be a certain number of guilds that play it for fun and not for keys ( i believe that's the case for guilds such as [MoO] )
